Bartholomew Flintham 1870-1893 in your Flintham tree
I noticed your tree when I ran the names of casualties of the sinking of HMS Victoria in 1893 through Ancestry, in case they were being researched. You have his death as 'unknown' but hopefully this will change things for you ... He was a seaman who was lost when the Victoria was in collision with another ship off the coast of Tripoli 22nd June 1893. He is commemorated on a monument erected by the survivors which is now in Victoria Park, Portsmouth. There are photographs of the monument and a memorial page to him on Ancestry's associate site 'find a grave' ( https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=176644475 ) I hope its of interest. Regards Mike (no family connection)
