Information from Jane Flintham - Sarah Jane married Elijah Burr on 15.5.1883 in Blankney. Elijah was a shepherd.
1891 census they were living in Hibaldstow with 3 year old "neice" Sarah Jane Flintham. Elijah was a labourer in a quarry. ( I can find no record of a Sarah Jane being born to any of Sarah's brothers in 1887 so I don't believe 3 yr old Sarah was a neice at all but the daughter of Sarah's uncle James Flintham and his wife Elizabeth who had gone to the US.)
1901 they were back in Metheringham, Sarah Jane still living with them. Elijah was now farming. The next trace I have ofthis family is 1913 in Heighington where Elijah was a farmer. I do not believe they had any children as parish registers show no baptisms. I have no record of Sarah Jane after 1901. It is thought she went to live with her Aunt Jane Cook (formerly Towell) and moved to the US in 1904.
