Abraham is known to have lived his later years at 4 Back Adcroft Street, Hillgate.

Elsie Thompson says she never remembers him living with Charlotte. Abraham worked for John Lees Builders. Abraham is said to have loved Nutty Nutty Toffee (Peanut Brittle) and smoked thick twist cut up in a pipe. They used to say he "Used to Spit in the fire, and bother with women" that means you’re a bad one.
It is thought that he never married Charlotte because he was possibly already married. A name mentioned was Susanah who lived bottom end of Edgley close to Brinksway.
