Gordon was born at approximately 8.30am Monday 3rd October 1960 at home at 7 Hurdsfield Road, Great Moor, Stockport, Cheshire. He was the first child of Kenneth Henry Flintham and Dorothy Thompson.

His was Christened at Davenport Methodist Church, Garners Lane, Davenport, Stockport. His Godparents were Betty Flintham and Ronald Gardner.
His first school was Great Moor Infant School, Southwood Road, Great Moor. He had not been at school long before the family moved to a brand new house in Hazel Grove and he had to change school to Moorfield Primary School.
He was accepted to Marple Hall County Grammar School for boys. The School changed its name when (1); it became a mixed school and (2); it changed to the comprehensive system. After he sat his O Levels and A levels he left for a career in the Bank.
At this time he left home with Carol his sister and they bought a small terraced house together in Store Street. Great Moor. The property needed a lot of work - it had an outside toilet and no heating or electricity upstairs. They moved into the house at the start of a freezing cold winter.
He worked for a few years in the bank but was not entirely happy. He started doing voluntary work and eventually got a job with Stockport Social Services Department working in a rehabilitation hostel for people with learning disabilities.
Gordon had not liked his name and he decided to change it. He formally changed his name on 19th October 1993 and he prefers that people call him Jaime.
Jaime worked in Social Services in both residential and fieldwork settings. He completed his social work training in 1990 and then further Social Work training in 2000 and achieved the Mental Health Social Work Award, Approved Social Work Status. After some difficult times and then stress related illness, Jaime made the decision was to take early retirement from September 2017. He retrained and works part time in a pharmacy.
Jaime loves holidays, in particular Scotland, California and Las Vegas. He enjoys camping and has a Khyam Ridgi-Dome tent. He had a mongrel dog called Della who had a fantastic temperament and she had been a brilliant companion. At the age of 16 she was put to sleep on 19th January 2002. He likes animals and has had chickens/hens that lay wonderful eggs and cats and another dog called Willow.
Jaime likes all sorts of music - not keen on Heavy Rock stuff. He has had a variety of keyboards including various Yamaha Tyros, Kawia digital stage piano, a Yamaha Clavinova CVP705 and now a Yamaha Genos 2. He has been learning to play at both night school, Cheadle Hulme Music Academy and then an independent teacher.
Jaime established a part time work after he took early retirement from Social Work November 2017 at the age of 57.
